Introduction to FDM Printing
Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) is a type of 3D printing technology that involves building objects layer by layer using a thermoplastic filament. This process was developed by Scott Crump in the late 1980s and has since become one of the most popular and widely used methods of 3D printing. Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) printing involves a precise and straightforward process where thermoplastic filament is heated and extruded through a nozzle to build objects layer by layer. The main components of an FDM printer include the extruder, which melts and deposits the filament, the build platform, where the object is constructed, and the filament spool that supplies the material. The process starts with creating a digital 3D model using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software. This model is then sliced into thin layers using slicing software, which generates instructions for the printer. As the printer follows these instructions, it deposits the melted filament layer by layer, which cools and solidifies to form the final object.

Why use FDM?
Materials we specialize with
FDM printing commonly uses two types of thermoplastic filaments: PLA (Polylactic Acid) and ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene). PLA is a biodegradable plastic derived from renewable resources such as corn starch or sugarcane, making it an eco-friendly option. It is known for its ease of use, low printing temperature, and smooth finish, making it ideal for beginners and a wide range of applications, including prototypes, models, and household items. ABS, on the other hand, is a petroleum-based plastic that offers greater strength and durability. It is heat-resistant and has better mechanical properties than PLA, making it suitable for functional parts, tools, and automotive components. We current offer printing colors White and Black for both ABS and PLA
